Copyright and the New Economy
Issues and Trends Facing Visual Artists
On April 21, 2010, ASMP presented an important syumposium in New York, addressing the way images are used and distributed. The symposium, “Copyright and the New Economy: Issues & Trends Facing Visual Artists”, was a huge hit with the packed Times Center audience.
Our June Member Meeting on Thursday, June 24th, will present the panel discussion from this symposium, featuring:
Jeff Sedlik, Founder & CEO of the Plus Coalition, an international non-profit, whose mission is to simplify and facilitate the communication and management of image rights.
Chase Jarvis, a photographer, director and pioneer in the use of social media.
Darrel Perry, former Director of Photography at the Wall Street Journal.
David Carson, General Council of the U.S. Copyright Office.
Liz Ordonez, a Florida based photographer who won a multi-million dollar copyright infringement case.
So come on out, do a little socializing and see where things are heading.
