Matt Licari was born in Manhattan, grew up in the Bronx, and spent several summers in Maine. He has traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally. His work explores urban, suburban and rural subjects with an approach similar to that of a street photographer. He works primarily with a large format view camera, but occasionally employs handheld cameras. Licari's last body of work was a 7 year exploration of New York's northern borough, the Bronx. He is currently working on a project addressing his recent relocation to Virginia, extended family and the dying process. Hi work can be seen at www.mattlicari.com.

On Assignment: March Madness 2011! Shooting the Final Four and the Masters. When VCU received an at-large bid to compete in the inaugural “First Four” of the NCAA tournament Scott Brown no idea what this would mean for his business. Soon after the Rams’ roaring victory against Perdue, he got the call that he’d be joining them on the road to the Sweet 16. It was an unforgettable experience; from flying with the team on their charter jet, to the locker room. Hot on the heels of the NCAA tournament, he jumped on a plane to Augusta, Georgia for the 2011 Masters Golf Tournament, where we produced images for a new real-time iPad app chronicling the 2011 Masters. His run this spring brought new meaning to the term, “March Madness” and these are the images he'll share at "4 x 15". His work can been seen at www.skbphoto.com Photo: © Scott K.
